AIPER Scuba V3 Pool Vacuum Finds Leaves Automatically
The thing that stopped me was watching the Scuba V3 spot a big leaf from across the pool floor and drive straight to it instead of cruising past on its random grid. Every other robotic vacuum I’ve tested runs blind, bumping, turning, hoping for coverage. Most pool vacuums run blind. This one doesn’t. If you want to see what it looks like and check the current price, the link’s right there, but stick around because the AI vision is the part worth talking about.
Drop it in, it sinks, and the front-facing camera starts scanning. When it picks up a leaf in frame, it redirects, mid-pattern, to go get it. That’s the difference between a $150 bumper-car cleaner and what this thing is doing.
What The Scuba V3 Runs On
It cleans for 3 hours on a charge, and you pick the mode before it goes in. You can set it for walls and floors, floors only, walls only, or the water line. Pick water line and it circles the pool clockwise, comes up, cleans for a minute at a time, and repeats that across the whole 3 hours.
The smart AI vision technology is the headline. Connect to the app, decide if you want it on or off, and by default it’s on. What it does is find debris in the pool, go over to it, suck it up, then look for more. So it’s not running all the time for no apparent reason. It goes and finds it.
What Happened When I Dropped It In
To turn it on you hold the button down, and it comes on the last mode you used, which for me was floor. Most of us are probably going to run floor most of the time anyway. Then you just toss it in, it sinks to the bottom, and it starts cleaning.
It took off, came over to the sidewall to kind of see where it was at, and then started the S pattern. There’s another pattern option in the app, but the S pattern is the one I tend to like the most. It just seems to be the most efficient, going back and forth picking up debris constantly. And when it saw a big leaf, it didn’t leave it sitting there. It went, “Oh okay, let’s go get that thing,” and sucked it up.
The 10-Minute Window You Can’t Ignore
After the 3 hours are up, it surfaces and hangs out at the top of the pool for 10 minutes so you can grab it out by hand, no hook needed. That’s the part I love. But here’s the catch: wait too long and it sinks back down, and then you’re fishing it out with the hook after all. It notifies you in the app when it’s parked at the waterline, so the whole thing hinges on you actually seeing that notification. Miss it during dinner and the convenience evaporates.

The Filter Setup Is Smarter Than I Expected
Instead of a basket you have to open up to dig into, the filter just comes straight off. That alone saved me the usual fumbling. And it’s a dual filter setup inside. Leave the white filter in and it grabs micro particles, dust, and sand down to 3 microns. Take it out and it just picks up debris. I love that I don’t have to do much to get into that. For anyone who’s wrestled with a clogged basket that fights you every time, this is the quiet upgrade.
Who This Vacuum Actually Fits
The one person who should skip this is whoever refuses to check their phone, that 10-minute waterline window is real and unforgiving. Everyone else: above ground or inground, it doesn’t matter. At 8.2 kg you can lift it out one-handed, and the AI vision plus snap-off dual filter make every competing cordless cleaner I’ve used feel like a previous generation.
