Gosvor Pool Vacuum Saved Me at Sunset
The sun was about to set and my 24 ft round above-ground pool was still filthy. We’d had 60 mph winds lately, so there was sand and dirt all over the bottom plus whatever blew out of the trees. Instead of grabbing the manual vacuum, I dropped in the Gosvor pool vacuum and let it run. Here’s how you start it. Push the button on the bottom, you’ll hear it beep, then hold it down and give it a good dunk until you feel it letting go. Do it that way and it takes off pretty quick. There’s a quick release on the front for draining water when you lift it out.
Ninety Minutes, Then Off Into the Sunset
Once it took off, it locked into a back-and-forth pattern, tapping the wall and reversing without any help from me. I watched it make two full passes, decided it had the situation under control, and went inside. Came back when it was dark.
When 90 minutes was up it had stopped and parked against the sidewall exactly like it’s supposed to. I grabbed it out with my handy hook. Coming up to the surface, I hung it over the side for a few seconds so the quick release could drain all that water out before I carried it anywhere. That step alone saves your back, because a vacuum full of water is a lot heavier than 7.5 lbs.
Then I opened it up. The screen had a visible layer of fine sand packed across the bottom, a cluster of tiny bugs, and a mat of green tree bits, the exact stuff that clouds the water and coats the liner. I’d expected a light catch after one run. What I got looked like the bottom of a birdcage.
You Have to Dry the Ports Before You Plug It Back In
The one thing you can’t skip: dry off the charging ports before you plug it back in. After I rinsed the screen and reassembled it, those ports were still wet, and you have to grab a towel or wait a bit before connecting the charger or you risk damaging it. It’s not hard, but it’s the kind of step someone rushing to get back inside will forget. Worth knowing before you buy one.
Good news on the reassembly: it’s basically foolproof. The filter pieces go back either direction, as long as they’re facing up they’ll seat. Same with the top cover, either way works. Push the two little clamps over it and you’re good to go.

Who This Is Actually For
This is a first-timer’s robot, and that’s not an insult, it just means zero setup friction. No app, no cord, one button.
