I’ve got a lot of security cameras up around my house, and this one still had me saying “I love this.” Four cameras, a 10-inch monitor you set on your desk, auto tracking, and no monthly fees. The catch is you have to plug the cameras in, so it’s not a set-and-forget solar rig.

- Have power outlets near where you’re mounting the cameras

The Wireless Security Camera That Beat My Old One
I have nine security cameras on my property, and I’m not easily impressed by a new kit. The Hiseeu still got me. The Hiseeu Wireless Security Camera System is a four-camera wireless security camera kit that connects the cameras over Wi-Fi and pipes everything to a little 10-inch monitor you can set on your desk. No monthly fee, no cloud subscription, and I found myself saying “I love this” more than once while poking through the menus.
What’s In The Box And How It Connects
You get four 5MP cameras, the 10-inch monitor, the mouse, and a 1TB hard drive built in. The system supports up to 10 cameras total over Wi-Fi, so the four-pack leaves you room to grow. Each camera captures 5MP video at 30 fps with a 121-degree field of view and a 65-foot night vision range. The monitor is not a touchscreen. It comes with a little mouse that plugs into it, and that’s how you drive the whole interface.
The cameras have a two-cord setup on the back. One cord is for Ethernet, the other is the adapter you plug into the wall. So you can run straight Ethernet if you don’t have Wi-Fi where you’re mounting, or if you just want something a little quicker. The monitor itself plugs into the wall and has an HDMI output, an SD card slot, and the mouse input, which I thought was kind of interesting and unique for a kit at this price.
Driving The Camera With A Mouse, Then A Phone
I grabbed the mouse, moved the camera down, and there was my face on the monitor. That’s the PTZ in action, and you can pan it around however you want. Then I did the exact same thing from the app on my phone, moving the camera around without sitting at the desk. Almost everything you can do on the monitor, you can do in the app. That’s the part that sells this as a real security camera system and not just a screen on a desk.
The digital zoom surprised me. I hit the zoom button and scrolled with the mouse and got right up close on my own face. You can also use the plus and minus buttons on the side. One thing to know: the zoom only happens on the monitor. It’s not zoomed in the app, because those are separate controls. Auto tracking can be toggled on or off, and the tour button makes the camera cruise back and forth on its own, slowly scanning the area. I bumped the speed up and it moved fast when I wanted it to.
Color night vision has modes for full color, smart night vision, infrared, or off. If it’s in a backyard, you want some night vision on so it picks people up in the dark. The color mode settings run from standard to bright to soft, and I could see the difference in how I looked on each one. There’s a privacy zone option too, so you can black out a section you don’t want recorded, plus image flip if a camera’s hanging upside down.
The Siren Sounds Different On The App Than The Monitor
The siren caught me off guard. I pushed the siren button on the monitor and it just sounded like police were coming after me. Push it again and it turns off, simple enough. Then I hit it in the app expecting the same thing, and it was a completely different scream that ran for a full 15 seconds. So the app siren and the monitor siren are two different sounds, and the app one you can’t cut off mid-blast. Not a deal-breaker, but worth knowing before you scare yourself testing it inside the house like I did.
The bigger friction is the cabling. These cameras require the hard wire, the plug, to run them. There’s no solar to worry about, which is a plus if you hate charging batteries, but it also means every camera needs a power outlet nearby. The included cord is long, and you can swap to Ethernet at any camera if Wi-Fi is weak at the mount point. But a power outlet is non-negotiable, plan your run before you grab the drill.

Who This Camera System Fits
The 10-inch monitor earns its counter space if you have a garage office, a shop floor, or a front desk, somewhere you can prop it up and actually glance at it. Four cameras blanket a perimeter, the 1TB drive logs 30-plus days without a cloud account, and the kickstand means setup is literally: plug in, prop up, done. Four cameras out of the box covers a decent perimeter, and the 1TB drive plus SD card slots means you’re storing footage locally with no monthly fee hanging over you.
It’s also for the person who wants outdoor coverage but is fine running power. If your mount spots are near outlets, the wired requirement fades into the background. If you’re trying to stick a camera on a shed 100 feet from the nearest plug, this isn’t the one.
Wired PTZ Versus A Solar Battery Camera
The trade-off comes down to power. A solar or battery camera goes anywhere with zero cords, which this system can’t match. But battery cameras also die, need recharging, and often gate their best features behind a cloud subscription. This wired setup never runs out of juice, records 24/7 to the 1TB drive, and skips the monthly fee entirely. If you want a camera on a fence post with no wiring, go solar. If you want continuous recording and a monitor to watch it all on, the wired kit wins.
Advice Before You Mount It
Plan your outlets first. Walk the spots you want cameras and confirm there’s power within reach of that long cord before you commit to a mounting plan. Grab some SD cards on top of the built-in drive so you can store and play back clips per camera. And test the siren outside, not in your living room, unless you enjoy sounding like a squad car is parked in your hallway. Set your night vision to color or smart mode for backyards so it actually catches faces after dark.
