Sent It Off a Jump Before I Even Introduced It
“See if it can survive this jump. Yeah, buddy.” That’s how I started testing it. The DEERC 1205 1 is a super fast, super cool brushless motor remote control car, and I couldn’t wait to launch it before I’d even walked through the features. Most RC cars in this price range use brushed motors that bog down under load. This one has a 2847-4500KV brushless with a 45A ESC, and it pulls hard from a standstill, the spec-sheet numbers aren’t just marketing.
What’s Driving This Brushless Truck
The brushless motor is the headline. DEERC rates the 1205 1 at 31 mph out of the box and up to 43 mph on a 3S battery, powered by a 2847-4500KV 62W brushless motor and a splash-proof 45A ESC. The remote takes four AA batteries, and you’ve got forward and reverse right there on it. It’s a 1/14 scale, so it’s a decent chunk of truck, not a pocket toy.

Running It Through Tall Grass
The grass nearly beat it, and that’s the clearest signal of where this truck belongs. The blades were taller than the body in spots, and the moment I eased off the trigger it buried itself. The variable-speed trigger works fine on hard ground, but in anything thick you can’t feather it: you either stay on full throttle or you’re stopping to fish it out.
Keep your finger down and it plows through. Ease off and the blades swallow it. On dirt and gravel it doesn’t have that problem, this is a truck that rewards throttle. The metal gear differential and oil-filled shocks are doing their job when you land a jump. It survived mine.
The lights are a fun extra, not a feature to buy it for. You can change the lights inside and out, but you’re not going to see the lights outside in daylight. Inside there are little characters wearing helmets, they look like lizards, and you can change that color. There’s a color on the bottom too, all adjustable from a button on the remote.
You Pop Clips Just to Change a Battery
Here’s the small catch: you have to take the body clips off to get inside and put the battery in. Every swap means popping clips, and if you’ve owned RC cars before, you know that’s where a loose clip goes flying into the grass and disappears forever.
Except DEERC thought about that. I love the clips on the body itself, because they have little bungee cords basically attached to them. Most of them out there don’t have that. So the clip stays tethered to the truck instead of vanishing. It’s still an extra step every time you swap one of the two batteries, but at least you’re not crawling around hunting for a pin.

The 1205 1 is for anyone who wants brushless speed right out of the box without sourcing a motor, ESC, and battery separately. DEERC pitches it at ages 8 to 12 and adults, and that range actually makes sense: the variable-speed trigger is gentle enough for a kid to learn on and fast enough at 31 mph stock to keep an adult interested.
